Welcome to this youtube channel "Shanu Kuttan CSE Classes " by Shanu Kuttan

This is a technical educational channel for subjects of computer science and engineering subjects (CSE) as per university syllabus and also cover the Syllabus GATE Computer Science (GATE CS) and NTA UGC NET Computer Science (NTA UGC NET CS) topics and questions. It provides Computer Science and engineering classes in Hindi. This channel’s video helps Computer Science and Engineering students to understand Computer System Architecture (CSA) i.e. Computer Organization and Architecture (COA) or simply Computer Architecture in easy way. This video discussed the topic from Memory Organisation unit or The Memory System unit as per the CSVTU syllabus i.e. Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.

This video explains the concept and working of Cache Memory, Levels of Caches, Locality of Reference, Cache Performance and its measure, in terms of Cache Hit, Cache Miss, Hit Ratio, Miss Ratio, Miss Penalty, Cache Access Time / Cache Hit Time, Memory Access Time, Average Access Time of CPU,  Hit Ratio Numerical or cache memory solved numericals for  GATE and NTA UGC NET Exams.

03:59 Working of Cache Memory
05:12 Cache Performance: Hit Ratio, Miss Ratio, Cache Hit, Cache Miss, Miss Penalty time, Cache Access Time
12:09 Cache Memory Performance Numerical Question 1

Question 1: The access time of a cache memory is 100 ns and that of main memory 1000 ns. It is estimated that 80 percent of the memory requests are for read and the remaining 20 percent for write. The hit ratio for read accesses only is 0.9. A write-through procedure is used.
a. What is the average access time of the system considering only memory read cycles?
b. What is the average access time of the system for both read and write requests?
c. What is the hit ratio taking into consideration the write cycles?
