A loving tribute to the great Bernard Cribbins, who sadly passed away in July 2022 at the grand age of 93. Over a near 80-year career, Bernard was a welcome presence in the lives of generations of fans.
From his wonderful work on Jackanory and The Wombles, where his distinct voice and gentle manner endeared him to millions of younger viewers, to his many memorable film roles such as in The Railway Children and TV appearances such as Doctor Who and even enjoying success in the pop charts, Bernard Cribbins was the very definition of the term national treasure.
