Lord Sri Rama traveled through
Lord Sri Rama traveled through this area when he was in Aranyavasa so that it is a sacred place for the Hindus. This temple is located about 20 Kms from Shadnagar on National Highway No. 7 in between Hyderabad and Kurnool. The presiding deity is known as Shri Ramalingeswara Swamy in this village as this Shiva Linga was installed by Lord Rama. The deity is unique and sacred because the size of the Siva linga is increasing every year as per the belief of devotees. People believe that sages of Hindu Mythology visit this place during the night time. Idol of the Goddess (Consort of Lord Ramalingeswara Swamy) has been installed on near by hill. The temple also houses the sanctum of Vinayaka, Kumara Swamy and Navagraha. Every Year Sivarathri is celebrated in a very grand scale and People participate in large numbers to take the blessings of the deity.
