The Democratic Republic of Congo is a country in the central part of the African continent. We are in Kalengaie, in the eastern part of Congo.

The area has also been affected by the Second Congo War since 1998, and many people are forced to live in poverty.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is known as "the land that has everything but peace."

We will get a closer look at real life in Congo, which is considered one of the poorest countries in Africa.

◆Kanta Hara Profile
Born in 1994. Freelance international cooperator. Graduated from Waseda University.

I started his international cooperation activities as a student after meeting a young girl begging in the Philippines. I have supported former child soldier in Uganda and refugees in South Sudan. While still in college, he established an NPO to support Africa and started his career in international cooperation as a new graduate. He has also worked to raise awareness through publications, lectures, and blogs, and was awarded "Azusa Ono Memorial Award" in March 2018.

After graduating from college, I developed an adjustment disorder and left the organization's activities. After a six-month battle with the illness, I restarted my activities as a freelancer. Working with a local NGO in Uganda, I have been involved in providing sanitary napkins to girls in the northeastern part of the country. I am also involved in giving lectures, blogging, YouTube, and running an online salon, pursuing a new way of working as "freelance x international cooperation". I am the author of "To Be an Adult who does not Ignore the World" and 'The Habit of "Seeing the World Right" Connecting You to the SDGs'.
