Doing these videos is encouraging
Doing these videos is encouraging me to explore more! It was a freezing cold February morning and I woke early (without an alarm) and peeked out the window of the hotel we were staying at to discover a magical frosty morning. If it wasn’t for the idea of capturing places for all of you I would have smiled, taken a mental picture and curled back into our warm bed.
BUT all of you encouraging me and enjoying my little videos meant that I got dressed and crept out of the room and out into a cold morning. This video is the result of that walk.
The Elvetham estate was established in 1403 and it was passed down for ages in the Seymour family. There is an oak tree that Queen Elisabeth I planted on a visit to them (look at 10:30). The manor house (now hotel) was built in the 1800’s as was a Church of England parish church (see 05:41).
The garden was frost tipped and I wandered around the pathways taking in the structure of the garden and the views extending from the garden.
