Outside the water, the hippopotamus is weak in front of the lions. In this short video, two lions grab a hippopotamus while the hippopotamus is trying to free itself from the grip of the lions. Two hippopotamuses came, but they did not help him. They tried to expel the lions and rescue their friend, but rather stood near him, but fortunately.  The hippopotamus was able to escape from the lions' grip in the end.
Although hippos live in groups, their social bonds are weak.
