@nolanventures473 hikes up to Grinnell Glacier via the Grinnell Glacier trail from the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park in Montana. Our out and back ended up at about 13 miles and 2,300 feet of elevation gain. Once you get to the Upper Grinnell Lake most people just stop there. We suggest walking along the length of the lake (east side of the lake) toward Grinnell Glacier. It adds some distance but you get great views of the glacier as well as the rather large icebergs in the lake. This is a heavily trafficked trail so starting early is a must. Met some great people along the trail - enjoy!
