In this guide, I will explain how you can level mining from1-99/120 on an ironman account. Even though this guide is aimed directly at ironman, there is still useful information in here that a non-ironman account can use. This is an updated 2020 guide that works for the Steam version as well.
I will also explain how you can begin to prep for smithing while you are mining since the two skills are closely tied together. All exp gains per hour that are listed are general, and they may not reflect your actual gains depending on the gear you wear, boosts you're using, and how active you are as you mine.
There are also alternative methods you can use at the end of the video if you want to AFK. I will come out with an invention guide in the future that will cover useful perks and how to get them. I will link that video to this guide when it comes out.
