The sound, whether it’s the background music, voiceover or sound effects, is an essential part of the video. The background music helps you create a special atmosphere in your video, the voiceover helps with explaining details, and sound effects intensify an impression of footage.
To add background music to video with Movavi Video Editor 15, you need to follow these simple instructions:
1. If you need to add the background music to a video, open up Movavi Video Editor and upload your video, then switch off the original audio track if it includes too many unwanted noises.
2. Drop the track from the built-in collection on the timeline or import any audio track you want by dragging it right from its folder onto the timeline.
3. When adding an audio track to your video, don’t forget to set the volume for the entire track. You can do so in Audio Properties. Here you also can set smooth Fade Ins and Fade Outs of the music as well.
4. Use the waveforms (the graphic representation of sound waves) and volume points for advanced settings. To turn down a specific segment of the audiotrack, put two volume points on both sides of the segment, then reduce its volume level.
5. Need more sound effects (sfx) for your video? Use the Import menu for importing additional video sound effects or drop the file on the timeline right from its folder. Be careful! The sounds must not be louder than the original audio track and grab too much of the viewers’ attention.
