Anarchy vs limited government - Block vs Helfeld Don't fall into the anarchist's rationalistic trap. NAP is not a starting point in ethics. It is not an ultimate end, it is a means to an end, which should be in my view a happy, satisfied life for you. If following the principle does not achieve this end, then the principle is mistaken in that context.
The non-initiation of force principle works very well under normal circumstances and as a guide to the legal system. It works well in a in a normal context - when you are not under extreme duress and there is a limited government in place . Integrate your ethics, since all political argument has to be validated against an ethical view. Ultimately what you are arguing in political theory is which theory produces more good. Politics is just a subdivision of ethics contrary to what Block thinks. See the discussion at the final 20 minutes of the debate.
