Hello everyone, I am Rana and with my sister Soheila we cook in our small village house along with our daily activities. Today we cooked a genuine and one of the most popular Iranian dishes that is usually served at important ceremonies called Baghali Polo with Mahicheh. Whatever I say about the deliciousness of this Iranian dish is not enough, but you have to try it at home to understand what I mean. Now I want to tell you how to cook it. Before anything else, we prepared the ingredients. Usually Iranians use lamb shank for cooking the meat of this dish, but we preferred to use veal shank, which is a matter of taste. For cooking the rice, we used fava beans and dill, and for making the crust, we used potatoes and butter. But for cooking the shank, we first chopped the onion and after frying it a little, we added the shanks and seasoned them with some spice and black pepper and put them in a pressure cooker for half an hour. After that, we added some bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom,and saffron, and salt and let it cook for another half an hour. I hope you enjoy watching our video and are satisfied with our cooking.
