It’s time we review the way we judge skincare products. The way we decide if we are going to buy them, the way we decide how they will effect our skin, the way we review skincare.
We need to stop judging our skincare by simple reading the ingredient lists.
As we’ve become more and more obsessed with our skincare routines, our products and what is in them, we all like to think we know how to read our ingredient lists right? We can judge a product pretty well by the ingredients we read?
Well….unfortunately its not that simple….at all.
Whilst it is of course important to check the ingredient list for diagnosed allergies you may have to certain ingredients, the majority of us should not and can not judge a product purely from reading the ingredient list.
Judging products by pulling single ingredients from the inky list, leads to fear mongering, especially when you look those ingredients up online or on inordinate list checkers.
This is because these websites don’t take into consideration a number of super important factors
1) The dose of the ingredient
2) How the ingredient plays with other ingredients in the formulation
3) And factors like, where is the ingredient from.
