This is what 800 hours of Vanquish looks like! A stylish gameplay showcase showing some of the freestyle and combo potential this game has to offer at the highest levels of play.
I've been experimenting with combo's for a while now but wanted to flex on most of the enemies one more time before taking a break because I still had some cool idea's.
Kicking things off with an explosive intro sequence, followed by a stylish fight against the Unknown boss. I hit it with multiple melee attacks and destroy it in style without ever overheating the suit.
Against Crystal Viper I pushed the AR meter to the limit and let it recover during the QTE and during the Disk Launcher melee to maintain the flow. Also did a smooth 180 slide in slowmotion around him before delivering a combo.
Against the Buzzard, we can melee it's hands without overheating but it can be difficult to pull off because of the tracking on melee attacks. I incorporated this in a combo for the first time and found a setup to kick both hands in a row. Could've went for more I guess.
I pulled of some cool stuff against Bogey Alpha & Bravo before but the clips in this montage are really smooth. I kept them together in a long loop while breakdancing and doing backflips of the terrain before knocking them both out the arena without ever overheating.
For the second clip, I kept them in a loop again and used the Disk Launcher melee to knock them back, but this time let them retaliate once before hitting them both with a final boost kick into rocket combo.
The final fight with Bogey Bravo is re-used from my previous montage. I really liked that fight with all the melee punches and AR mode cancels.
I'm taking a break for now but I'm definitely not done playing Vanquish.
