It's time to put together
It's time to put together the camper bed platform in this tiny house build series. The bed platform is situated in the back of the tiny house. This tiny house bed is effectively a surface elevated off the floor of the gypsy wagon that will house the mattress on top. Constructed from plywood and 2x4s, this camper bed area can house different size mattresses. In this build, I'm putting in a full-size mattress, so the raised bed platform will be accordingly sized.

The entire build series has 20+ episodes and will be released one episode at a time on Wednesdays. Next week in episode 18 (E18) we'll build a small kitchen into the camper!
There is no prior experience needed or assumed. The book outlines all the tools you will need and goes into precise detail on various aspects of the build. The video content will illustrate some of the concepts which are easier to convey with video rather than images and text in a book. In that way, the book and the videos are a great combination with the goal of fully illustrating the process and journey of building your own house.
The entire house will cost less than $5,000 and will be even less if you have the time and energy to source lower-cost materials (i.e. on Craigslist or similar). You can expect it to take you about 250 hours to complete the build by yourself. I encourage you to seek out help from others though as that can be extremely helpful during certain aspects of the build. Work within your abilities and be careful.
