It's become a great addition to my collection of tool. There will be a basic build video coming later. I needed a hand router with more support for working on the end of a workpiece. It also works well as a standard hand router. This design gives me the option to use the cutter in both directions and to place the handles / knobs in many positions for comfort while using the plane. It was built from scrap material and cost almost nothing to make. There are many designs of shop built / DIY Router Planes to be found on Youtube and some of these show how to make the cutter from a Hex / Allen Key also. Paul Sellers has a great video as part of his Poor Man's tools using a chisel as a cutter.
