The ostensible purpose of language is to transmit thoughts from one mind to another. Language represents thought, but does it also determine our thoughts?

This question has entertained philosophers, psychologists, linguists, neuroscientists, and many others for centuries.

For centuries, people thought that words were just labels for objects, and that different languages merely attached different strings of sounds to things—or, more accurately, to concepts. Now it is suggested that the world might be perceived differently by people speaking different languages.

This video aims to shed  some light on the psychological phenomena of decision bias, and the impact of language on moral judgments as well as the impact of a foreign language on the psychology of risk averting behavior in humans.
