Ha! One of my first videos ever. I finally decided to add it after almost 2 years. This video was made Jan 16, 2011.

The more you do it, the quicker your body will adapt to it. Anything you expose your body to in a consistent basis, your body will adapt to it. You'd be surprised at what the body is capable of adapting to. Think about the most natural act of giving birth. The body adapts and adjusts so that a baby that is much bigger than the orifice that it comes out of, can safely be expelled. So the reason why I brought that up is to point out the fact that if you expose your body to something long enough, your body will perceive that is the norm & it'll adjust & adapt in order to make what was once painful or uncomfortable, not be so. This is because your body does not dislike uncomfortable stimuli. Therefor, it adapts to anything it perceives or that you program as normal way of life. Just keep in mind you are only trying to desensitize your skin, nerves, muscles, ligaments, tendons, capillaries & bones. So start off lightly. If you do it daily, your body will adapt before you know it and without thinking, you'll gradually find ways to adapt to it. Just always stay under the pain threshold until you FEEL confident to strike harder, little by little. So embrace discomfort but be fair to your body and your body will be fair to you. In other words, dont try to be a hero/warrior like you see in t.v. and go striking things hard all of a sudden. Hope this helps.
