This is Laura’s Grandma’s easy plain scone recipe, perfected over years of baking for family gatherings. Her traditional, rustic method makes it so quick and easy to go from basic pantry staples to the best scones ever in no time!
🥒 Ingredients:
450 g self raising flour
100 g butter salted or unsalted, cold, roughly chopped
375 ml milk full cream, cold
2 tsp raw sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Optional Toppings:
Jam
Cream Whipped, thickened, heavy or clotted
Butter

00:00 - How to Make Grandma's Scones
00:04 - Mix the dough ingredients together
00:23 - 'Cut' the dough in all directions
00:32 - Turn out onto floured surface
00:36 - Gently press, knead and flatten out
00:44 - Use a cutter to cut out circles of dough
00:59 - Baste with milk and bake for 20 mins
