Will public sector workers be given above inflation pay rises?

There have been hints the government is set to give public sector workers an above inflation pay rise of 5.5%. Speaking to Sunday Morning with Trevor Philips, James Murray MP, exchequer secretary to the Treasury, would not commit on whether the government will match the independent recommendation being made.
