Gorilla Egg Hunt 2021

Western lowland gorilla silverback Taz and his family group enjoyed their annual Gorilla Egg Hunt in April 2020. Prior to the gorillas’ entering their habitat for the day, the Gorilla Care Team filled the habitat with special enrichment designed to stimulate foraging. The “eggs” were created using sugar-free Jell-O, one of the special foods approved as enrichment for the gorillas by the Zoo’s Animal Nutrition Team
