Close your eyes and perhaps you'll hear the chopping sounds of the onions being cut & the crunchy rattling of the Jhal Muri being mixed and hopefully you'll also perhaps imagine the taste of the deliciousness but remember that these are just a few of the aspects of street food........now open your eyes because the other aspect is the one that feeds your visual sense, so in this video we try our very best to convey and articulate that visual theatre to you; the viewer.

We absolutely love this man he holds a very special place in our heart because he serves what we think is street food perfection. He serves up the popular spicy Bengali snack (Jhalmuri) at a street cart called "Everybody Love Love Jhal Muri Express" at various locations. (Jhal Muri is very similar to the Gujarati Bhel Puri). Jhal Muri is Kolkata's Favorite Snack

The attention to detail of his stall is astonishing because he uses authentic utensils and equipment + the ingredients are just as authentic and his masterful cutting techniques used are truly mesmerising, in fact we have never ever seen anyone else in the UK selling in this "Desi" style of mobile setup (just like you see back in the "Desh")

He has perfected and mastered the "art of Jhal Muri Making" the Jhal Muri Cones we eat from him are always delicious, we would go as far as to say that he is a "Jhal Muri Making Master Chef".

Unlike some places there is nothing hidden and no secret to the recipe because everything is made in full view of customers.

Big honour and respect to Mr Angus Denoon, he is much better at what he does than many of the so called "Master Chefs" of this generation, because the so called "Celebrity Chefs sometimes have a missing ingredient in their recipes; that ingredient is an unseen one............the "secret ingredient is in fact "positive energy" whereby the food being prepared is, incontrovertibly, energised and charged by positive thoughts - so in reality, it is more than just physical sustenance you are eating, you are in fact getting food that feeds your mind, spirit and soul; this is because you're getting spiritually blessed food which has been infused with heart felt passion and love.

We absolutely love this guy because he reminds us of the Indian Subcontinent's pavement kitchens', the kitchens which provide sustenance for its many inhabitants with the cheapest and tastiest of freshly made food anywhere. Reminding us of the street characters who create food that is blessed by hand and human touch and further energised and charged by positive thoughts.

You can go many times to India and love it every moment of your time spent there, (but you're always sad in the knowledge that India only exists in India and nowhere else) the sights you see, the sounds you hear, the people you meet; all serve to feed you not just physically but also emotionally and spiritually. So when we come across people such as "Mongo Denoon" we humbly raise our hat and take a bow because we have not only just got something to eat but we've also been given a reminder of dear Mother India.

A special thank you to Angus who very much welcomed us and graciously allowed us a privileged glimpse into his kitchen to do the videoing even though he was extraordinarily busy.

He is a "street food troubadour" so if you want to know where he will be next, look out for messages of his schedule on his social media pages (or you could message him).

He is a filmmaker & you can watch a deeply moving video of his on YouTube titled simply "Kolkata Street Food": Kolkata Street Food - in which he articulates beautifully his Indian street food experience, the words he speaks touch a nerve deep within our very soul.

A special thank you to Angus who very much welcomed us and graciously allowed us a privileged glimpse into his mobile "street food kitchen" to do the videoing.

Long live the King.....the King of Jhal Muri!

God Bless You Sir !!!
