In this tutorial, let us learn about Setting up calendars in Microsoft Project
You might be knowing that in the project schedule, it is the calendar which defines the exact working time and non-working time.
We have 3 base calendars in Microsoft project but you can make as many calendars as per your wish.
As part of project schedule, it is the first thing that you need to do is setting up the calendar.
Go to Project tab from the menu bar, Click on Change working time, every project comes with a default calendar called as Standard Project calendar which has 5 working days from Monday to Friday and with 8 working hours like shown here with 1hr lunch break.
You can add the exceptions in the bottom portion here. Click on the work weeks tab, you can see the default work weeks, you can see the exact work hours by clicking on this details tab.
Her you can see this is showing details for defaults. Here you can see the working hours by each day, For Sunday it is not showing anything as it is holiday. let’s select Monday to Friday, you can actually see the working timings as 8AM to 5PM with 1hr break.
