Amazing crossover laminar flow (?) of water in a natural creek

Laminar flow in water is when the water particles travel in a smooth, parallel layers without any intermixing or disruption between the adjacent layers. This is in strong contrast to turbulent flow, which is characterised by irregular and unpredictable movement of particles in the water.

I came across this amazing crossover of laminar flow while exploring in the catchment of Curl Curl Creek, in Sydney, Australia
