Ramdhari Singh '#Dinkar' (23 September 1908 – 24 April 1974) was a prominent Hindi writer, poet and essayist . He is established as the poet of the best Veer Ras of the modern era .

'Dinkar' was established as a rebel poet before independence and after independence was known as 'Rashtrakavi'. He was a poet from the first generation of #portrayist poets. On the one hand, in his poems, there is a call for energy, rebellion, anger and revolution, and on the other hand there is an expression of soft decorative feelings. We find the peak of these two tendencies in their works named Kurukshetra and Urvashi.

Hunkar is an epic poem by Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar'.
Himalaya is from the collection #Hunkar (A Roar) which has been described by a critic as burning coals in the shade of playful rainbow. In this poem, the loftiness of the Himalayas, reflects metaphorically the Mahatma, whom he invokes to rise to action, leaving the path of the mystical meditation of the ascetic.
