Former Monticello guide and master woodworker Charles Morrill describes building a Spinning Jenny from scratch using only non-technical drawings and notes and a brief examination of one the few surviving examples in world. Jefferson has more than one Jenny at Monticello, which he hoped would increase the production of cloth in his small textile manufacturing operations.
