The duel of Alexander Hamilton vs. Aaron Burr
The year 1804 saw the most famous duel in American History. Aaron Burr Vice-President of the U. S. challenged Alexander Hamilton, former treasurer of the U. S. to a duel, called an "interview." On the morning of July 11, 1804 at 7 AM they met in a secluded spot in Weehawken, New Jersey. Alexander Hamilton met his maker and died the next day.
