Aldabra bird evolved twice! (Fun fact story) (Indian Ocean atoll) - ITV News - 10th May 2019

Here's a fun fact story of the day. Apparently this bird, the Aldabra, evolved not once but twice, after being wiped out and then nature recreated it again. Making it evolve twice.

Either that or it was recolonised from a lost colony perhaps after the first extinction on the atoll. But if true, it is remarkable.

Either way, can it now survive man's effect on Climate Change the 1 million species under threat from extinction within decades?
