So here it is, the Famous 'UK Wide'  GT-868 based radio.
Commtell, Fidelity, Lake, Sonic and many more used this 'Great' chassis and there was nothing Great about it.
This video is to show how bad they really were.

The experiment -
-73dBm (industry standard) for S9 or '9 pound breka.!'
1khz of tone.
5khz wide Audio, to replicate most CBers on screwdrivered rigs at the time, and CBers of today on HF sets.

Increased to -43dBm to be S30dB or 30+ or 'hard over in the cabbage patch'
Audio and tone the same..

Then lowered to a more conservative -
-73dBm
1khz tone
2.5khz audio (like CB's left the factory)

Increased to -43dBm so replicate using 100w 'Burneeeeeer'

The results speak for themselves.
In fact the results totally ruined the whole experiment, but just proving how 'Great' these radios really are.

Next i will do a PTBM134 board, (Cybernet, Rotel, York, Harrier, Barracuda, Sapphire etc etc)

But on a plus it was capable of still hearing the legal standard tone (2.5khz) at -120dBm which isn't too bad.!

You can honestly say 'it has ears' just a shame they're on every channels.

(Please excuse the poor video quality, i Can't afford 100 cameras, a white coat or to get a mid life crisis mohawk,  I still get my mum to cut my hair and trim my beard..!!)
Video'd using a Nokia 5800 (yes i'm that poor.)
