Üsküdar Üniversitesi İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Fakültesi Dekanı Prof. Dr. Mithat Baydur “Soğuk Savaş Sonrası Dünya ve Türkiye” başlıklı konuşmasında uluslararası sistem, bu sistemin sancılı, sıkıntılı ve zorlu dönemeçlerini ele aldı. Suriye’de an itibariyle Türkiye, İran, Suriye ve Rusya’nın yanı sıra ABD’nin ve paramiliter örgütlerin bulunduğunu belirten Baydur, “Bu kadar bol aktörün olduğu bir yer, tezimiz şudur ki yeni bir dünyanın laboratuvarıdır orası. Yeni bir nizamın bir test sahasıdır ama 10 sene sonra ama 15 sene sonra biz bilmiyoruz. Suriye’deki bu kavga bittiğinde dünya yeni bir nizam arayışına çıkacak” dedi. Born in Istanbul in 1957. Finished his primary education at Istanbul Sariyer Pertevniyal School. After his graduation from Kuleli Military High School, he graduated from Philosophy Department of Bogazici University.
After undergraduate education, he had his master’s degree from the Institute of Ataturk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution. Then again at the same institute he got his PhD degree with the dissertation by the title of ‘Concept of Nationalism in the Changing Globalized World’. He became Associate Professor in 1996, and became Professor in 2003.
He gave different lectures in the fields of theory and politics in Bogazici University, Marmara University European Community Institute. After working as the head of Department of International Relations Abant Izzet Baysal University, he worked also as the Head of Department at Beykent University. He is currently the head of Political Science and International Relations department at Uskudar University.
