Javier talks about the life
Javier talks about the life changing stories of low-income people facing diabetes, the leading cause of death in Mexico. He was selected as one of the 10 most brilliant Mexican innovators under the age of 35 by Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His healthcare clinics, Clínicas del Azúcar, have revolutionised the treatment of diabetes in Mexico as 90% of the diabetics that attend could not otherwise seek help due to the expense of the treatment previously available.
While studying Engineering Physics, Javier co-founded Sierra Tarahumara, a nonprofit organization that promotes agriculture, education, and commercialization projects in rural communities of Mexico. http://www.clinicasdelazucar.com/

Fue seleccionado por el Tecnológico de Massachusetts como uno de los 10 innovadores mexicanos más brillantes menores de 35 años. Con sus Clínicas del Azúcar, una cadena de clínicas de bajo costo, ha revolucionado el cuidado y atención de la diabetes en el país, pues atienden alrededor del 90% de los diabéticos que no tienen acceso a tratamientos que resultan demasiado caros.
