This video is about step-by-step how to make authentic Khuwa “खुवा” (Khoa/Khoya/Mawa), also called Kurauni “कुरौनी” in Nepali at home. Kurauni or Khuwa is a dairy product obtained from condensing milk. Kurauni / khuwa is one of the most frequently used ingredients for making many sweets and wildly popular Nepali dishes like Ladoo, Peda, Burfi, etc. This video will walk you through step-by-step on how to make super delicious Kurauni / Khuwa at home. Khuwa Steps: Main ingredients for Khoa/khuwa/Khoya/Mawa/Kurauni is whole milk. Buffalo milk is preferred but other whole milk is fine. Use a non stick pan with a heavy base. Let the milk simmer. I am boiling 1/2 gallon cow milk. Stir it at regular interval of 2-3 minutes with a spatula and don't let the milk burn or stick to the pan. Keep the flame on medium once the milk comes to a boil. Keep stirring so it won’t over flow or stick to the bottom of the pan. After half an hour, milk has started thickening. Continue stirring. You can see milk has reduced to half. It's been almost an hour. Add sugar per you taste or dish size. It is almost ready. Our Kurauni or Khuwa is now ready. It turns solid and becomes very thick after it cools down.
