Makarska - Biokovo MTB tour

Last summer I made mountain bike tour to Biokovo ˝mountains˝ (Croatia). I started from sea level in Baška Voda, passed Makarska and climbed to the ridge of Biokovo. From there I continued to the highest peak, Sveti Jure (1762), which is the second highest mountain in Croatia. Then I went down the asphalt road back to the plateau at about 1000m. From here I mostly walked (carry a bike) to the mountain Vošac, which is horizontally very close to the sea, but 1422 meters vertically above sea level. Just above the town of Makarska. And in the end, for the cherry on the cake, I chose a hiking trail that took me down almost to the beach. (Vošac-Makar). The ride was 65 km long with a total elevation gain of 2,200 m. Equipement:  enduro/freeride bike Specialized Status with coil shock....
