Looking for used OEM parts for your C3 or C4 Corvette? If you are, I made this video for you!
Wally Dye, the owner of Corvette Generation, the largest C3 & C4 Corvette salvage yard in Florida, shares the story of how he started a business to help owners of Corvettes ranging from 1968 through 1996, keep their cars on the road thanks to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer — aka Factory) parts.
This was an impromptu interview.
I stopped by Corvette Generation to pick up a couple of parts for my 81 and I took the opportunity to shoot a few short videos.
Before we left, we were hanging out in the office and Wally started sharing stories about his business, so I pinned a microphone on him resulting in this video about one of the largest (and very few) C3 & C4 Corvette salvage yards in the world.
What started as Sunshine Corvettes almost two decades ago, has become Corvette Generation in Dade City, Florida, and their inventory is pretty impressive and a must for those looking to bring their C3 or C4 up to NCRS or factory specs.
Many viewers in the past have criticized Corvette Generation because of the poor condition of some of the cars there, but as a reminder, that is the condition these cars were in BEFORE they made the salvage yard their final resting place.
Wally and his team take them apart and store good resalable parts while the car frames and bodies wait until a customer comes along looking for a fender, a front or rear clip, doors, a hood, a wiring harness, and so on.
The parts that are "rescued" from these Corvettes eventually get a new lease on life thanks to caring enthusiasts, mechanics, and restorers who prefer to use original (OEM) parts.
Corvette Generation ships parts nationwide and to other countries, but check with them before ordering.

Also, Corvette Generation is NOT a "Pick and Pull" or "You Pull It" type of salvage yard. You can certainly pick up your purchase in person but don't expect to show up and get a tour of the place. That is not going to happen for several reasons, including safety.
