EFF "Siyabonga" - "Thank You" Rally in Durban's People's Park, KwaZulu-Natal

It's a busy weekend politically, in South Africa.... While the ruling party marks its formation 110 years ago with its annual January 8 Statement, the Economic Freedom Fighters are busy in KwaZulu-Natal hosting its own "Siyabonga" - "Thank You" Rally. The EFF says the rally is to thank its supporters in KwaZulu-Natal for their backing. In the 2021 local government elections, the EFF secured 150 seats and 8.64% of the vote in the province - up from 59 seats and 3.46% in the 2016 election. The celebration will be hosted in Durban's People's Park and is expected to get underway at noon today.
