The Walther Place of origin: Germany
No Jamming. Everything is fine in the chamber. Excellent carry gun , caliber in 380 will do the job, if you can get the extended grip model, more comfortable and holds an extra round.
The Fixed barrel makes it incredibly accurate. It comes in 7.65 mm and in 9 mm.
The Walther PPK is a timeless classic, trim,slim,reliable and surprisingly accurate.It is available in 3 calibers, 22Lr, 32acp, and 380acp. The 380 is also known as 9X17mm, 9mm Browning Short, 9mm Kurz and a few other names.
9mm Kurz = 9mm x17mm.
9mm Kurz is another name for .380 acp
.380 = 9x17mm
Now, this gun shoots a 9mm kurz which is also known as 9X17 or a 380 ACP.
The 380 is the same caliber as the 9mm Luger but the 9mm Luger is also known as the 9X19.
The 9X18 is known as the Makarov or the Russian 9mm.
Remember, 9mm Kurtz stands for 9mm short,in other words it's a 380. It will not fire 9mm.
Russian Makarov.380 shoots well always 3K + rds, never a problem.
Remember, It shoots well but is heavy and will bite the web between thumb and index finger if not careful.
Too heavy to carry.
On the negative side, the modern pistols are rather sharp cornered and tend to bite the hand in several places. They also bring top dollar so plan on spending close to 500.00 for one. If you are on a budget check out the Polish P64 in 9x18mm Mak, it is a streamlined version of the PPK and it retails for around 250.00. There is also a conversion barrel in 380acp on the market.
A fan said, "I've had three of these wonderful little pocket rockets. Wish I still had one. Very accurate, and feel great in the hand."
Remember, most small .380s like this don't fit in everyone's hand so better hold accordingly.
Some soldiers brought some back from battle field of WW2.
Remember, If you have a big hand, slide bite can happen.
If your hand is big, I recommend a PPK/S. Also you can buy and install a 13 lbs trigger spring which helps the first double action shot trigger pull. If you just want a 380, glock 42 might be a better choice.
