Armenian round Gata

Armenian round Gata, wedding gata- I had been looking for a good recipe for a  yeast free round gata for a long time. I have tried many recipes, including recipes that use yeast dough, but not one was  close to tasting quite like the village gata that relatives used to send for us. This recipe was passed to me by my nephews great aunt, who lives in Lake Sevan region. I have changed the recipe slightly to simplify the process and to make it less rich. I hope you will enjoy it. This gata will taste better if you leave it a day or so. Make sure you put it in a bag or cover it in cling film after it cools completely.  I hope you will enjoy it.
