Microneedling is a great treatment for our Bay Area patients because it is effective at treating all skin types. We notice that many of our patients are looking to treat acne scars, texture, and enlarged pores, which makes microneedling a great option across the board.
Microneedling works by creating micro channels in the skin that induce collagen production by controlled injury to the skin. We have the option to add platelet rich plasma (PRP) to the treatment for more effective results. Patients see dramatic improvement in their skin even just after one session.
We typically recommend doing this treatment in a series of three for optimal results. Even if you don't have skin correction concerns, microneedling is great for boosting collagen and helping your skin glow.
