Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society 50th Anniversary 1998

The SLSLS 50th anniversary celebrations were held on 21 and 22 of March 1998.
John Noller has recorded the event in this video.
From the start we see public running on the Saturday.
At about 6'25" we see visiting locomotives being prepared for the Sunday celebrations.
At 7'45" speeches commence the speakers being introduced by Bernie Courtenay. Then comes SLSLS President Warwick Allison, Councillor Peter Graham, the Mayor of Ryde, and Barry Glover, President of the Australian Association of Live Steamers. The speeches are a little overshadowed by the sizzling of sausages on the BBQ!
At 19'18" the official train departs with Brian Kilgour and 'Nigel Gresley' , a little embarrassingly with the brakes on making for a slippery get away.
Following that visitors running recommences.
