Decorating the house is a big part of Christmas; however, it can be very expensive. One way to save money on decorations is buy them at the thrift store for more than 70% cheaper.
3. Make Your Own Decorations
Another way to decorate you house on a budget is to make your own decorations. Look on Pintrest for ideas!
4. Be Flexible With Traveling
During the holidays, the price for airline tickets is exponentially more expensive. One way to lower the cost is to be flexible and fly budget airlines. Prices will still be more than usual, but you will save more money.
5. Pack Everything You Need When Traveling
Another way to save money while traveling is to make sure you pack everything you need so you do not have to spend money buying things when you get to your destination.
6. Take Advantage Of Your Family’s Resources
The cost of traveling during the holidays can really add up with airfare, car rentals, and hotels. One way to save money is to get help from your family like get them to pick you up at the airport and stay at their house.
