On the real tho, season 2 is such trash. KyoAni always does this where the first seasons of their show are character focused and then season 2 shifts the focus to a story. And the characters never make the shift well. They lose any sort of implied depth they had in season 1. Flanderization would be a good term to bring up. In the episode I ripped this scene from, there's just obvious scenes that are just there to push the plot forward, where no one acts in character. And all the scenes that used to be there to expand on characters are replaced with shit made to fill time. This is why I'm actually kinda glad that Nichijou never got a second season.
