One of the most popular and delicious dishes all over the world! Baked apples with sweet caramel sauce and shortcrust pastry… What can be better for the St. Valentine’s Day dinner?

ingredients:
5 apples
100g sugar
30ml water
30ml cream
pinch of cinnamon
250g shortcrust pastry
½ lemon

Combine sugar with water and set on fire. Cook caramel until golden brown, then add cream, stirring constantly.
Peel apples, remove cores. Cut apples into quarters, sprinkle with lemon juice and add cinnamon.
Put apples on the bottom of the prepared dish, pour caramel over the apples.
To make the shortbread dough, mix 120g butter with 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 egg, then stir in 250 g flour. Knead the dough and refrigerate for an hour.
Roll out shortbread pastry into a circle.
Top apples with pastry sheet, cut off the edges.
Bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
Invert tart onto platter and serve with ice cream.
