Sig P238 & P938. Is it safe to carry cocked and locked

How are the internal and external safety mechanisms working on these firearms.  This give an explanation if the pistol is dropped or the hammer unintentionally releases - what happens?  Duh, when I keep saying barrel, I mean down the slide where the barrel goes.
