Chicken Biryani
Ingredients for Chicken Marination:
Chicken 1 kg
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt 1 pack
Fried onion 1 ½ cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Saffron water 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Green coriander (chopped) 1/4 cup
Oil 1 cup

Ingredients for Boiled Rice:
Water 5-6 cups
Salt 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Black cardamom 1-2
Star anise 2-3
Cloves 1 tsp
Green cardamom 4-5
Soaked rice 3 cups

Ingredients for Assembling:
Boiled rice
Marinated chicken
Water 1 cup
Lemon slices as required
Green coriander (Chopped) as required
Orange food color 1 tsp
Kewra water 1 tsp

Directions for Chicken Marination:
1. In a bowl add chicken, NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt, fried onion, ginger garlic paste, saffron water, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, lemon juice, green coriander, oil and mix it well. Marinate for 3-4 hours. Set aside.
Directions for Boiled Rice Preparation:
2. In a pot heat water and add salt, cumin seeds, black cardamom, star anise, cloves, green cardamom and bring it to a boil.
3. Now add boiled rice and boil until 50% done. Strain and set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
4. In a pot add a layer of marinated chicken and add water. Mix it well.
5. Then add a layer of boiled rice. Garnish it well lemon slices, green coriander, orange food color, kewra water and cover and cook over low flame for 40-45 mins or until chicken is fully done.
6. Your Dum Biryani is ready.

Cooking time: 1 hour
