How to play Japanese RPG Maker 2000 games. (Windows 10/11, Locale)

---------- Locale Emulator / Changing Locale ----------
I've tried it with my regular Locale set, but was having the issues described in the video when playing Yume Nikki (The text was replaced with garbled characters). The game would start though, which it wouldn't if run without LE. If I manage to get it working properly, I'll likely make another video showing how I did it. Changing Locale seems to be the best way to do it to ensure the games work properly, but obviously it's an inconvenience if you don't want it set constantly, or have to go back and reset it every time. I've just left mine in Japanese, but it's your choice.
---------- Windows 11 ----------
As described, it's basically the same (Because functionally, W11 is basically just W10 (which is basically just W8)). Just know where to find the settings (as listed at the end). If you run into unknown issues, try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 (I haven't needed this, but have seen it happen before).
---------- The RTP installation froze at 44% ----------
Change your system Locale as shown in the video, make sure you don't click the "Use UTF-8..." checkbox, it will break stuff. This should fix it. (It's because the installer's trying to use Japanese encoding, and Windows is forcing it to use whatever your locale is set to).
---------- Don Miguel's English RTP Patch ----------
I genuinely can't remember exactly how this went when playing Japanese games. I know I've tried it before though, and it wasn't entirely successful. You may be able to get it working, but it didn't for me, and I feel it's not worth the troubleshooting unless your game supports it.
---------- EasyRPG Player ----------
Much like Don Miguel's patch, I've tried this with varying levels of success. Sometimes it works, sometimes the game is completely broken. Best to check compatibility before you start, so as not to end up disappointed when your player character spawns in as a missing texture and clips through the wall.

Yes, I started off making it in steps. Yes, I forgot to put the rest in steps. No, I'm not going to redo it. It doesn't even need steps. vine boom
