Black Girls Grow

Episode 4 of Black Girls Grow continues to draw on the metaphorical connection between growing in the garden and growing in life.  The focus in this episode is on Nana Bama's journey from the early stages of her life as a mere seedling sowed in Alabama soil to a 93-year-old Maryland gardener tilling the soil in her sweet potato patch and shelling freshly gathered purple hull peas.
