Cats DO need grooming- especially long- haired cats. Their fur can easily become matted making them extremely uncomfortable, causing skin conditions, and becoming a breeding ground for bacteria/infections and hotspots. Regular brushing and combing is necessary in preventing matts and excessive undercoat.
