KTM 250 Duke is a bike available at a starting price of Rs. 2.3 lakhs in India. The 250 Duke is powered by 248.8cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 29.6 bhp and a torque of 24 Nm. This 250 Duke bike weighs 169 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 liters.
The 250 Duke is KTM’s quarter-litre street bike which sits in between its 200 Duke and 390 Duke in terms of price, displacement, features and components. The motorcycle received an upgrade in 2021 in the form of an LED headlight that is similar to the unit on the 390 Duke. The new LED headlight adds an even premium look to the quarter-litre motorcycle.
The 250 Duke uses a BS6-compliant, 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 29.6bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. This engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox that enjoys benefits from a slipper clutch.
The colour palette includes two options – Silver Metallic and Dark Galvano.
Like other KTM models, the 250 Duke also incorporates premium components such WP-sourced suspension setup and ByBre brakes. The motorcycle utilises a split-type trellis frame and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod with MRF Revz C1 tyres. The safety net includes a dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode . Weighing at 161kg (kerb), the 250 Duke also boasts of an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
Considering its styling and displacement, the KTM 250 Duke competes against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ 25 in India.
