Increase Horsepower and Torque. Significantly improve the performance of your 2005-2010 Mustang GT with a set of BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers. The factory exhaust manifolds are extremely restrictive, causing the 4.6L V8 to waste horsepower in effort to push out the exhaust. The high flow, long tube header design of these BBK ceramic performance headers vastly improves exhaust scavenging and flow, resulting in a gain of 15-20 horsepower, and the likewise in torque, at the wheel. These BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers will also set the baseline to handle any other engine modifications down the road (hint: works really well with a supercharger). You can also expect an appreciable change in exhaust note (typically deeper) to go along with the performance gains.
Tough Ceramic Coating. BBK manufactures these ceramic coated long tube headers using CNC mandrel bent piping for smooth passageways throughout their entire length. Primary tubes measure in at 1-5/8", which is considerably larger than the original log style manifolds. Finally, these headers are finished with a specialized ceramic coating. BBK Ceramic coated long tube headers have a number of advantages over their bare steel or chrome header counterparts, such as: better heat dispersion, leading to cooler under hood temperatures; better corrosion and rust resistance and last but not least; they will not change color due to heat cycles like the other two materials will.

While not requiring any specialty tools to install, the process is fairly long and tedious and will easily take an entire afternoon.
