album "Cosmic Rock" - very interesting private pressing of a four piece guitar driven hard rock band from I think Cedar Falls, Iowa. The style is a brilliant - and completely bizarre - mix of southern hard rock interspersed with an underlying progressive rock foundation. That might sound weird and it could signal a band in musical crisis but the results are truly captivating and ably assisted by a good professional sounding production. Sounds to me like these guys were caught between two stylistic chairs and unable to settle on one particular style. Indeed, the track 'Mask Of Reality' starts off as a typically late seventies prog rock epic but ends one of those long southern rock outros.
