This video explains about cis & trans isomers of fatty acids. Cis isomer are having H atoms on the same direction while Trans isomers are having H atoms on opposite direction on the carbon that is having double bonds C=C. Oleic acid is Cis isomer while Elaidic acid is Trans isomer.
Cis conformation forms kinks or bents in the structure if fatty acids, most of the naturally occurring fatty acids are in Cis conformation.
